Member-Nominated Chapter Awards
Each year at the Annual Summer Conference, the Chapter proudly presents awards recognizing the outstanding achievements and contributions of our members. Nominations are submitted by fellow SWAAAE members.
SWAAAE presents awards in the following categories:
- Airport Executive of the Year
- Aviation Excellence Award
- Aviation Partner Award (formerly titled the Corporate Award of Excellence)
- Emerging Leader (formerly titled the Young Professional Award)
- Operational Excellence and Community Spirit - new!
- Award of Distinction
- Lifetime Achievement - The Wanamaker Award
- President's Award

Award Nomination Form
Submissions are due by June 12, 2026. The 2025-26 award winners will be recognized at the 2026 Annual Summer Conference.
Service & Engagement Awards
Introduced in 2026, the Service & Engagement Awards recognize exceptional commitment and meaningful contributions to the Chapter. These awards are presented at the Annual Summer Conference and formally acknowledged by the SWAAAE Directors and Officers. Nominations are submitted by the Board of Directors, with final selections made by the President in collaboration with the Executive Committee.
Eligibility: Candidates for the awards listed below must be current Chapter members in good standing.
SWAAAE Member of the Year
Acknowledges a member who has gone above and beyond in supporting SWAAAE’s mission and activities.
Outstanding Committee Service Award
Recognizes a committee member for exceptional contributions, leadership, or new initiatives that strengthen member engagement.
Mentorship & Leadership Award
Honors a member who has invested significantly in mentoring the next generation of airport professionals.
Volunteer of the Year
For members who contribute significant time and energy to chapter events, programs, or community outreach.
