Since 1996, Jennifer has worked in a myriad of capacities at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport including Airport Administration, Business & Properties, and Facilities & Services.  She is currently the Facilities & Services Planning Superintendent overseeing several operational readiness, capital planning, and asset management functions. Jennifer is also engaged in the $2B capital program currently underway at PHX, including Terminal 3 Modernization, Sky Train Phase 2, Terminal 4 S1 Concourse, Terminal 4 International Facilities update, and several other projects. She has a degree in Aviation Business Administration with a Certificate of Emphasis in Aviation Safety from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

Jennifer is very active in the industry, currently serving as the 1st Vice President for the Southwest Chapter of AAAE (SWAAAE). She is also a past president of the Arizona Airports Association, and a former board member for the Phoenix chapter of Women in Transportation. In 2007 she became an Accredited Airport Executive and later served five years on the AAAE Board of Examiners. Jennifer was honored as the WTS Member of the year in 2011, was recognized as a Certified Airport Executive by SWAAAE in 2012, received the SWAAAE President’s Award in 2013, attended the prestigious WTS Leadership Academy at Rutgers in 2014, and most recently was honored with the 2016 Aviation Excellence Award by SWAAAE.

Judy M. Ross, AAE, CAE, is the Assistant Director of Aviation for Mineta San José International Airport (SJC) since April 2018.  She served as Interim Assistant Director of Aviation since 2017 and Deputy Director of Aviation – Planning and Development at Silicon Valley’s airport since 2015. This experience has included managing the administrative functions of the Airport Director’s Office as well as the five Airport divisions: operations, facilities and engineering, finance, planning and development, and business development. 

Judy’s vast knowledge of the aviation industry and steady management approach was developed through her three years at SJC as well as at other U.S. airports. She served as Deputy Aviation Director at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport for seven years; Director of Airport Planning and Development at Little Rock National Airport for two years; and while at San Diego International Airport for 10 years, she was Manager of Program Controls, as well as holding other positions.

Judy earned a Master’s degree in Aviation Management from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of North Dakota. She is also an Accredited Airport Executive through the American Association of Airport Executives. Additionally, she serves on the Board of Directors of the Southwest Chapter of AAAE, where she is also a Certified Airport Executive.

(Andy) was born and raised in Bellingham, Washington. Andy’s early working career included 12 years as a commercial fisherman in Alaska, California, Oregon and Washington including coordinating cleanup efforts for charter vessels, and transporting personnel and supplies during the 1989 Exxon Valdez oil spill. During this time aviation played a key supporting role in this industry which inspired him to follow his childhood interest in aviation. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Flight Technology with Specialization in Aviation Management from Central Washington University in 1999. Shortly thereafter, he joined San Mateo County Airports working as an Operations Specialist and was promoted to Airport Operations Manager being responsible for the operations of both San Carlos and Half Moon Bay Airports. In 2004, he accepted the position as Manager of Solano County’s Nut Tree Airport.

In 2013, Andy accepted the position of Airport Manager at Palo Alto and was tasked with transferring the City-owned airport that was managed by Santa Clara County back to the City. This was accomplished and completed in September 2014. Andy is a division head and he manages the airport which is one of the four divisions under the Public Works Director. He is directly responsible for the administration, operation, maintenance, and budget for one of the nation’s busiest single runway general aviation reliever airports with over 175,000 operations a year.

Presently, Andy serves as one of the Board of Directors for the Southwest Chapter of the American Association of Airport Executives (SWAAAE) and is a member of the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) General Aviation Airports Committee and Association of California Airports (ACA).

Corinne has been employed in the airport management profession for over 30 years. She is the Airport Director at Falcon Field Airport in Mesa, Arizona, which is home to over 700 based aircraft and over 90 businesses. Corinne previously served as the Airport Manager in Grand Junction, Colorado. She has served as the president of both the Arizona Airports Association and the Colorado Airport Operators Association, as well as serving on various community-related boards. In 2002, she was appointed by the Governor of Colorado to serve as the airports representative on the Colorado Aeronautical Board and served in this capacity until accepting her current position in Arizona. Corinne is an accredited airport executive (A.A.E.) and earned a bachelor of science degree in business management from the University of Colorado with emphases in human resources and transportation management. Corinne’s favorite activities include snow skiing and high altitude mountain hiking.

Dean has spent his entire 34 year career in the aviation industry.  Dean received a Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management from the Florida Institute of Technology in 1984.  

After graduation he worked as an Aviation Consultant for 13 years and participated in numerous aviation planning, noise and environmental studies at airports in the U.S. and internationally.  For 5 of the 13 years Dean lived in Hong Kong and worked as a consultant for a number of Asian airports.  He was part of the core team that prepared the master plan and design for the new Hong Kong International Airport and also participated in planning efforts for the new international airports in Seoul South Korea, Kuala Lumpur Malaysia, and Nanjing China.

Twenty one years ago Dean joined the Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority.  Although starting as an Airport Planner for the organization, Dean has been promoted several times and for the last seven years has served as the Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer for the Airport Authority.  

Dean is also a commercial-instrument pilot and Certified Flight Instructor.  

In 2003, Dean completed the certification process with the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) organization and is now an Accredited Airport Executive (A.A.E.).  Dean served as the Chair of the AAAE Environmental Services Committee for three years, Co-Chair of the AAAE UAS Working Group for three years and is currently serving as Chair of the Operations, Planning, Safety and Emergency Management Committee for AAAE.

Matt has over 15 years of experience in the aviation industry dealing with airport management, operations, and consulting. His experience includes five years in airport management at a general aviation airport in Texas where he was involved with administration, capital improvement projects, and fixed base operations. More recently, for the past 10-plus years Matt has worked with Coffman Associates where he is involved in all elements of airport planning. He has managed a wide array of assignments at airports across the country ranging from master plans, ALP updates, capacity studies, wildlife hazard management, safety area improvements, and airport guidance documents. His role with the firm allows him an opportunity to take part in a variety of disciplines that include project management, business development, public outreach, and regular engagement with airport staff and aviation stakeholders. 

Matt is a graduate of the University of Central Missouri and holds a B.S. degree in Aviation Technology and a M.S. degree in Aviation Safety. He is a licensed commercial pilot with multi-engine and instrument ratings.  In 2016, Matt was honored as one of Airport Business Magazine’s “Top 40 Under 40”, which showcases top talent and leading thinkers in the aviation industry who are building success today and innovations for the future.  

Away from work, Matt enjoys spending time with his wife and four daughters while living in Phoenix, AZ area. He particularly likes watching his kids play sports and spending time in the outdoors.

Jeff Leonard joined Mead & Hunt in 2000 while completing his engineering studies at the University of Wisconsin in Madison. He graduated with a Bachelor degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering with a Construction Management Emphasis. He served as a project engineer and designer on numerous Midwest projects before making the move to Northern California in 2004.

Jeff is a registered professional engineer in the states of California, Oregon, Arizona, Nevada and Hawaii. He has substantial experience in project management, construction, supervision, pavement design, hangar and building layout and cost estimating. Jeff directs many of Mead & Hunt’s most complex airport improvement projects, frequently including multi-year timelines involving multiple contracts and numerous contractors. Jeff has been involved with the firm’s engineered materials arresting systems (EMAS) for California airports, each as part of large runway safety area improvement projects. Jeff’s principle for a successful project is establishing strong team communication and a proactive resolution to issues and opportunities as they arise.

In 2013, Jeff became the Associate Practice Leader for Mead & Hunt which includes establishing technical processes and procedures, mentoring, overseeing project teams and identifying industry trends. Jeff enjoys being able to spend time mentoring junior staff, helping them grow into professional engineers. In 2014, Jeff was honored as one of the “Top 40 under 40” aviation professionals from Airport Business Magazine. This annual award celebrates outstanding up and coming individuals in the aviation industry.

Jeff lives in Windsor, CA with his wife, Melissa and their three children. In his spare time he can be found enjoying the outdoors and traveling with his family.

Danette Bewley has over 26 years in the airport management industry. Danette currently works for the Tucson Airport Authority and serves as the Vice President of Operations and Projects/Chief Operating Officer. She has also served as the Director of Operations (6/2012 – 2/2013) and Senior Director of Operations and Maintenance (2/2013 – 5/2014).

Before beginning at Tucson Airport Authority, Danette worked for several other airport organizations. From 1989 to 2003, she worked for the San Diego County Regional Airport Authority. She served in a variety of positions; however, her last position was as the Manager of Terminal Operations. In 2003 she began working for the Jacksonville Aviation Authority as the Director of Jacksonville International Airport. In 2006 she returned to the West Coast as the Senior Program Manager for the Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority until 2010 when she became the Assistant Director of Airport Economic Development. She served in this position until moving to Arizona in 2012.

Following High School Graduation, Scott Malta entered the Air Force at 17 years of age. Scott trained to be a Boom Operator at Castle AFB, CA in 1978 and his first duty station was Griffiss AFB in upstate NY, where he was qualified as an instructor. He was reassigned to the 924th Air Refueling Squadron at Castle AFB in 1981. He was shortly thereafter transferred to the 93rd Air Refueling Squadron as a Flight Line Instructor. In 1985 he was transferred to the 4017th Combat Crew Training Squadron where he became a Platform and Simulator Instructor.

In 1988 after finishing a Bachelor’s of Science Degree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Scott was commissioned a Second Lieutenant and became an Air Traffic Control Officer. Following training at Keesler AFB, MS and Shaw AFB, SC he was assigned to Minot AFB, ND. From there he went remote to Kunsan AB, Korea and followed on to RAF Alconbury, England where he was the Airfield Operations Flight Commander, responsible for Air Traffic Control and Base Operations. In 1995 Scott was assigned to the 1st Fighter Wing at Langley AFB, VA as the Airfield Operations Flight Commander.

In 1994 Scott spent four months as the “Provide Promise Battle Staff Executive Officer” at Ramstein AB, Germany controlling all personnel and equipment going into Bosnia.

In 1996 he deployed to Jordan as a member of the Air Expeditionary Force #2 where he was the Air Force Liaison to the Jordanians for all matters dealing with US air operations and in 1997 Scott did the same thing in Kuwait.

Scott retired as a Captain in August, 1998.

Working for a short time as an Insurance Agent in “the family business”, Scott returned to his real love of Aviation as the Operations Manager at the Roanoke Regional Airport, Roanoke, VA. Scott became the Castle Airport Manager in February 2002.

Scott holds a Private Pilot Certificate and has a dual Master’s of Science Degree in Airport Operations and Management at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He is an Accredited Airport Executive (AAE) of the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) and Certified Airport Executive (CAE) of the Southwest Chapter of AAAE (SWAAAE) where he has served as a Director, Credentials Committee member, Membership Committee Chairman, SWAAAE’s representative to the AAAE Board of Directors, SWAAAE annual winter conference Vice Chair and Chair, SWAAAE President, serves as a member of the AAAE Operations, Safety and Planning Committee, General Aviation Committee, Military Relations Committee and as a Mentor. He was awarded the SWAAAE President’s Award in 2007 and the SWAAAE Airport Executive of the Year Award in 2013. He is also a Commissioner on the Merced County Airport Land Use Commission. Scott is a Deacon/Elder and a youth ministry director of his local church. He is married to the former Barbara Allen of Merced and has two children and three grandchildren.

Barry Rondinella is the Airport Director for Orange County’s John Wayne Airport, the 40th busiest commercial passenger airport and 30th busiest airport (total operations) in the nation. As Airport Director, he oversees all aspects of the day-to-day management of the Airport including Business Development, Facilities, Finance & Administration, Operations and Public Affairs. He is responsible for managing a $242.2 million annual budget and a staff of 178 employees.  

Rondinella’s aviation experience spans more than three decades and he has more than twenty-five years of public sector experience in the airport and transportation industry. He has held increasingly responsible management positions in transportation and airport operations with the City of Lompoc, the Santa Maria Public Airport District, San Joaquin County, Sacramento County and the City of Los Angeles. He holds a commercial pilot license and has logged hundreds of hours of high performance, multi-engine jet time.  

In 2003, Rondinella became an Accredited Airport Executive as certified by the American Association of Airport Executives and served on their Board of Directors. He is Past President of the South West Chapter of the American Association of Airport Executives (SWAAAE). He is also a Certified Airport Executive as conferred by SWAAAE in 1994.  

Rondinella earned an Associate of Science degree in Commercial Aviation from Mount San Antonio College and a Bachelor of Science degree in Aviation Administration from the California State University, Los Angeles.

Nyle Marmion is a Program Manager with the Terminals & Tenants Department of the Operations Division, and is currently responsible the activation and overnight transition of San Diego International Airport’s (SAN) new Parking Plaza and FIS Projects which open in 2018. Nyle has 28 years of airport management experience total, consisting of 24 years (and counting) at SAN, 2 years at Sarasota - Bradenton International Airport, and 2 years Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.

Nyle’s achievements at SAN include:

  • Leading the Development of SAN’s First Multi-Concessionaire Food & Beverage/Retail Program (80+ stores) - the largest tenant improvement project in SAN’s history
  • Leading the Development of the SAN’s First Public/Private/Partnership (P3) via an Installment Purchase Agreement for SAN’s Central Receiving and Distribution Center
  • Leading the Development of SAN’s First Common Use Airport Lounge
  • Leading the  Overnight Transition SAN’s First Consolidated Rental Car Facility
