Wine & Dine

The Underground Tasting Room - A Joint Tasting Room focused on providing an exceptional educational wine tasting experience and the ability to purchase directly from the wineries. We are described as the perfect and very cool wine tasting location located on the original level of Old Sacramento. Hours: Wed. & Thurs. 11AM – 5PM, Fri. – Sun. 11AM – 6PM.  Address: 900 2nd StSacramento, CA 95814-2201. Current promotion: Wine Tasting Picnic, $79 for 2 guests 

Delta King Riverfront Dining – The Pilothouse and Delta Bar & Grill. Offered either for fine dining or casual dining, in a relaxed and beautiful river setting. Each room offers a full array of beverages from the bar, river views and service to match our acclaimed food. Address: 1000 Front Street, Sacramento, CA 95814. Gunther’s Ice Cream – If there is one food you must eat in Sacramento, it’s ice cream. Gunther’s is one of the most popular ice cream shops in the city. This long-standing landmark with retro decor has homemade ice cream in various flavors plus ice cream sandwiches that will make the line at the door worth the wait. Address: 2801 Franklin Boulevard, Sacramento, CA 95818. Hours: Opens at 10 AM every day. Cost: Single Scoop: $3.75, Double Scoop: $5.70, Triple Scoop: $7.75. 

Arts & Culture

Sutter's Fort - Explore Sutter’s Fort State Historic Park in Midtown Sacramento. This historic attraction captures the pioneer spirit of families arriving in wagon trains at the start of the California Gold Rush. John Sutter built the Fort, which was critical in the rescue of the tragic Donner Party.

Old Sacramento - Shop, eat and explore this National Historic Landmark District and State Historic Park along the Sacramento River. This lively district is alive with restaurants, shops, entertainment, museums and attractions set within the time of the Transcontinental Railroad and Gold Rush. Enjoy walking tours, riverboat cruises, and carriage rides, and the Sacramento History Museum.

Sutter District Tour - Discover Sacramento's history and culture on an easy 3-hour walking tour throughout the Sutter District. Delight in food tastings like the locals. Stop at 5-6 eateries to sample their best dishes while learning about the history of Sacramento.     

Departure point: Hawks Provisions at 1525 Alhambra Blvd, Time: starts at 10:30 AM (Mon.- Fri.). Cost: $75/person   



Bing Maloney Golf Complex - Play either the 18-hole course or hit the 9-hole executive course for a relaxing day on the greens. The complex features a driving range, stocked golf shop, and the Maloney Grill – known for the best breakfast burrito in town.

Arden Fair - Located just five miles from our hotel, Arden Fair is Sacramento's largest shopping center with 165 premier specialty shops, a theater, entertainment venues, and top anchor stores, including Macy’s, Nordstroms, and JCPenney. The Pavilions - Pavilions is home to the Sacramento’s most exclusive brands, premier merchants, and sumptuous dining experiences. This upscale outdoor shopping and dining center is only a few miles from the Hyatt Regency Sacramento. Address: 563 Pavilions Lane Sacramento, CA 95825. Open daily.


Other Activities

Sacramento Historic River Cruise – One hour boat cruise along the Sacramento River. Live narration by Captain and scenic views throughout the cruise. Concessions are available but not included in price.  

Departure point: Old Town Sacramento, L Street Dock, Times: 1:00 PM 2:30 PM 4:00PM (Thurs. – Sun.). Cost: $20/person

Sacramento Scavenger Hunt Adventure – 3 hour scavenger hunt through the city. Follow a series of clues on your smart phone, take up the fun challenges and weave your way through local history and sites along the 2 mile course. Departure point: Near the Capitol Building, Sacramento CA, Time available is based on the group that would like to participate,. Cost: $15/person.

California State Fair: The California State Fair is the annual state fair for the state of California. The fair is held at Cal Expo in Sacramento, California.
