Academic Scholarships
Anyone seriously pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in airport management may apply annually for an academic scholarship. You do not need to be a member of SWAAAE to apply for this scholarship. However, you must attend a college in Arizona, California, Nevada, Utah or Hawaii. Two Academic Scholarships will be awarded in the amount of $1,000 each with an additional $500 available for the reimbursement of travel and hotel cost associated with attending the Airport Management Short Course (AMSC) in Monterey, California in January of each year. Attendance at the AMSC offers an excellent opportunity for students to network with airport management professionals, and has been beneficial to students seeking internships or employment after graduation.
Applications will be available Fall 2008 for the 2009 scholarship and conference.
Professional Accreditation Scholarships
Two Professional Accreditation Scholarships are awarded annually in the amount of $1,000 each. You must be a member of SWAAAE and enrolled in the AAAE Professional Accreditation Program or the AAAE Certification Program to apply for this scholarship. Recipients may attend either the AAAE Accreditation Research Paper Workshop or the AAAE Accreditation/Certification Academy Written Exam Review.
Review of applications is ongoing.
