The Long Beach Airport is seeking a Facilities Management Officer (FM0). This position is responsible for all airfield, terminal and parking facilities preventive and routine maintenance programs, as well as emergency maintenance response. The FMO is responsible for planning, implementing and directing airport maintenance programs. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring that maintenance impacts on aircraft and passenger movement, tenant activities, and security are minimized.
Requirements: 7 years of increasingly responsible experience in facilities maintenance, including 3 years of management experience. A Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Airport or Facilities Management or closely related field is required.

The Landside Operations has sole responsibility for planning, monitoring, and supervision of all functions, activities, and operations of the Landside Operations Section and the Ground Transportation Permit Processing Unit (GTPPU), which includes program implementation and coordination, establishing airport policies and procedures, and serving as a technical advisor to Airport senior and management staff. The incumbent is also responsible for making regular contact with officials of public and private organizations, transportation officials, and community groups.
